Robin is a Non Exec Director of RouteMonkey and director of Fernhay. The focus of his work is mobility and accessibility principles as a way of minimising human impacts through reducing energy consumption from our daily lives whilst still allowing us to create, work and live in a positive way. In recent years he has focused on the opportunity that data and optimisation of assets through algorithm based software can have, and he has been instrumental in the architectural design of several bespoke pieces of software to manage transport, energy and infrastructure assets.
He was Head of Transport for The Climate Group which is an independent, not-for-profit organization working internationally with government and business leaders to advance smart policies and technologies to cut global emissions and accelerate a clean industrial revolution. Robin was part of a mall team that created the UK Governments Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV), when he was seconded from industry to the Dept. Business Innovation and Skills. He started his career in the automotive sector then moved into energy consulting and transport roles within Arup, and during this period he worked with a diverse range of clients to establish economic routes for sustainable transport in both retrofit environments and new planned eco cities.
Robin has an engineering BSc and a manufacturing MSc and has worked in all three sectors which helps in the complex world of energy and multiple partnerships developing solutions that work.
