Synopsis

To take a holistic approach to urban planning for sustainability and disaster risk reduction of historic settlements (contrary to convention Master Planning approach). The idea is to mainstream culture (heritage) in larger urban development process. Cultural heritage here is understood in its wider scope (beyond monuments and museums) including evolution of human relationships with natural environment besides tangible as well as intangible aspects.
